As a non-profit, mission-driven neighborhood farmers market, we depend on volunteers to operate a successful market and provide the best experience possible to the community. We have a range of volunteer opportunities that may be of interest to you depending on your skills and availability. Whatever your interests and schedule are, we welcome your participation. We have weekly opportunities as well as more consistent volunteer positions.

Weekly Volunteer Opportunities
The Cobblestone Farm Market takes place every Tuesday 4-7pm, from May 21 - October 22. We need volunteers every week to assist with market day operations. Volunteer once or up to every week.
Market set-up (2:30-4:00p)
Assist with setting up the information table, market banners, tables and chairs, blankets, etc.
Information table (4-7p)
1-hr shifts available. Assist with greeting patrons, counting patrons, answering general market questions, etc.
Market take-down (7-8p)
Assist with taking down and putting away information table supplies, tables and chairs, blankets, market banners, road signs, etc.

Advanced Volunteer Opportunities
The Cobblestone Farm Market needs committed volunteers to serve in roles that assist with planning and coordinating the market. Ideally, volunteers would commit to these roles for the whole season and expectations could include attending monthly market meetings and the weekly market depending on the specific role.

Food Assistance Coordinator*
Responsible for managing the food assistance programs (SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks), which includes processing payments and generating online reports.
Volunteer Coordinator*
Responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers for market-day operations.
Financial Operations Coordinator*
Responsible for tracking finances, collecting payment, and writing checks.
Market Planning Committee Member
Assist with general planning and coordination of the market. This position requires attending monthly or bi-weekly meetings.
Marketing & Outreach Assistant
Work closely with the market manager to assist with social media postings, sign development and distribution, survey development, and website content maintenance.
Entertainment & Events Coordinator
Work closely with the market manager to coordinate weekly entertainment. Assist with planning special opening market and last market.
Children’s Activity Coordinator
Work closely with the market manager to seek out and coordinate a weekly children’s activity.
Zero Waste Coordinator - filled for the 2019 season. Assistants are welcome.
Responsible for facilitating the market’s zero waste goal, including communicating with vendors about best practices and ensuring the proper collection of recyclables, compostables, and trash.
Healthy Food Program Coordinator
Create a recipe of the week (with ingredients that are in season / being sold at the market), responsible for ensuring materials are prepared for the recipe table at weekly market.
